Strongtown New Tec held their first community bike ride around Alliston on June 22. A dozen bikers of all ages participated in the recreational ride through some bike-friendly routes for an hour, and enjoyed local Cool Moose ice cream afterwards. The post-ride discussion centered around the Town of New Tecumseth’s Multi-Modal Active Transportation Master Plan , specifically the proposed Active Transportation network (ie. walking and biking routes) from pages 72 to 82. Strongtown New Tec wants to advocate for safe, convenient and accessible biking infrastructure and we are always looking for more voices.
